Welcome to another episode of Differently. Today's episode Short and Sweet, a personal story of surrender and gratitude for your day. I don't know about you, but life always has a way of presenting the perfect terrain for what I need to learn next. Lately, in fact, for the last six months, I've been knowing that some things in my business were ready to evolve and grow but honestly, didn't have a clue as to the end picture. Early on, I was getting so frustrated and trying to force this outcome so that I would have a map of how everything was gonna come together, and it just wouldn't work. Not having an end picture, even if I know it will likely change, is very uncomfortable for me. Having that map is what actually helps me show up today with the right actions and energy.

During this time, I felt God very clearly impress upon me that you don't have to have it all figured out. I just want you to show up every day and work on this project and I'm going to reveal the next step for you Six months in, and God has been faithful every time. I sit down to write and make time for this. So I'm reporting that I've been doing that for the last six ish months, not knowing where I was exactly going, but stepping. Honestly, it's been grueling. I've been had so much fear and doubt, but I keep stepping. I realized the other day that it's felt like I've had a blindfold on God's leading, but I don't know where. But this week I've been reminded and filled with gratitude that, while some seasons are challenging like this, and I have days where I want to shrink, quit and stay right where it's comfortable, sometimes the extreme discomfort is the very time to dig in and rise up because something big is happening and that breakthrough might be right around the corner. And this week, just when I was about to lose faith again and take matters into my own hands and try to force outcomes, I made a decision to surrender again and keep showing up without knowing the final outcome. This decision changed everything.

Every time I let go of the need to control every step of the journey and embrace the unknown, incredible things start to unfold. Sometimes we want to stop right before everything is going to break through. We doubt ourselves, in question whether we have what it takes to succeed. But it's precisely in those moments that we need to keep going. We need to push through the discomfort, embrace the challenge and trust that the breakthrough is just around the corner. So, my dear listeners, I'm still very much in the midst of this journey, when, I imagine, I will be back to share some exciting things about where all this is headed, but for now, I'm still walking in the uncertainty, grateful that I'm not alone.

I invite you to reflect on your own journey. Are there places in your life where you're holding back, where you're on the verge of giving up, where you're feeling uncertain? Where might you surrender and trust the process or lean into the discomfort, believing that something better is around the corner? Keep going, even when it feels tough. I'm reminding myself that the path to growth and important change is rarely a straight line. It's filled with twists and turns and ups and downs. But when I get out of my own way and cultivate a mindset of thankfulness and accept the invitation to surrender, new possibilities await every time.
